The Austrian company Energiewerkstatt, founded in 1994, belongs to the forerunners in the wind energy branch. The subsidiary "EWS Consulting EOOD" has recently become active in Varna and offers all of the services of the mother company.
EWS Consulting EOOD in Varna brings know-how about wind power to Bulgaria
With
Thomas Sutter as construction manager, the Energiewerkstatt was able to
gain foot in Bulgaria and has been successful in building wind farms
for the last two years. The EWS office in Varna will not only be a
meeting place and think tank for all of the partners of the company but
also a starting point for projects in neighbouring regions and
countries. The goal is to instruct and train personnel so that a large
range of services for the utilization of renewable energy sources can be
offered in Bulgaria. The subsidiary in Chicago, Illinois, USA pursues
the same goals.
The EWS bundles its professional know-how to cover every aspect of wind energy.
Professionalism
and competence are especially important for the EWS for carrying out
projects from the planning stage to implementation. This assures for
creativity and reliability and international projects with an Austrian
standard. The basic idea is "A product from a single source". "Our
employees are able to complete all aspects of a wind power project right
in our own offices. We not only have technicians from different fields
in our team but also a biologist, a meteorologist and a landscape
planner", says Gerhard Steindl, one of the managing directors.
Wind energy is the ideal energy form for future generations and is useful for all:
people, the environment and even the economy.
Bulgaria
has good wind energy potential and if put to use would achieve added
value for the country and help it to become independent of foreign
energy suppliers. Bulgaria is committed to the EU climate protection
goals. That means that 3,000 MW of wind power should be installed by
2020. The EWS Consulting EOOD supports the building of wind farms
according to plan and for a stop of the development of nuclear energy:
"We are convinced that technology only has a future when it is
sustainable and compatible with nature, because we think in
generations." Therefore, the development of wind power needs clear
guidelines for the protection of nature and the environment and for
investment security of the project developers. Investment in wind power
brings many advantages since wind power produces jobs and strengthens
the regional economy.
