Feasibility studies

FeasabilityStudy

Before it is decided to proceed with the detailed planning of a wind energy project, it is necessary to address the fundamental question whether it is worth committing oneself to it. A feasibility study helps to answer this question.

At first, the planned site for the wind turbines is inspected to identify site-dependent risks and conflict potentials. These aspects are the basis of the feasibility study. With the aid of a matrix, the properties of the relevant site are systematically ascertained. Rather than making exact calculations, the focus during this stage is to come up with preliminary estimates based on experience and establish an outline of the planning documents.
