Good News for Vienna!
Since 8 July 2024, in addition to our sites in Munderfing (Upper Austria) and Parndorf (Burgenland) and our research site EWS Sonnenfeld Bruck an der Leitha (Lower Austria), 17 EWS employees have also been working for the energy transition from Vienna.
Gerhard Steindl, EWS shareholder: "Our team has grown strongly and rapidly in recent years in line with our tasks. We are pleased about this because we can see that many renewable energy projects are being realised for which we can make a significant contribution. With our office location in Vienna, we are further increasing our proximity to customers and creating modern workplaces with shorter commutes for our employees."
Wolfgang Neuhofer, EWS Managing Director: "This applies not only to wind energy projects, but also to the area of agrivoltaics. With our EWS Sonnenfeld®, we offer an innovative and proven solution made in and for Austria. The trend is also moving towards hybrid parks consisting of wind and solar energy, whose compined planning and realisation brings synergy effects in terms of cost and time savings and ensures a more constant and stable grid feed-in."
Just in time
We need an energy revolution! This is undisputed and Professor Dr Volker Quaschning from the HTW Berlin University of Applied Sciences gets to the core of this very clearly in his lectures and most recently at the AWES (Austrian Wind Energy Symposium). Wind and solar energy are the game changers here.
And that in turn is our incentive to find and implement good solutions. With the EWS Vienna office, we are creating additional space for highly qualified and motivated employees.
EWS Vienna site manager Sebastian Sohm: "The Vienna office is home to employees from our various divisions such as Measurement & Assessment, Planning & Approval, Project Developmentand Biology. It is intended to be used by all EWS divisions as a meeting place. Please feel free to visit us when you get the chance, we are always happy to have a good discussion on site! "
