EWS congratulates on 30 years of IG Windkraft!

"The special thing about IG-Windkraft is that there was an umbrella organisation first, even before the companies existed," said climate researcher Helga Kromp-Kolb during the panel discussion to mark the 30th anniversary of IG-Windkraft.

The pioneers, including Elfi Salletmaier and Joachim Payr from EWS, were united by a strong desire to utilise wind energy in Austria.

30 years later, wind turbines generate around 11% of Austria's electricity demand, which is set to double by 2030. The wind industry has become an important economic factor with many good jobs.

"The same applies today as it did back then: together and with combined forces, we can make a great impact and achieve the climate targets in the field of renewable energies in a very concrete way!" says EWS Managing Director and IG Windkraft Board Member Wolfgang Neuhofer.

"With currently around 70 highly qualified and motivated employees at our two sites in Munderfing and Parndorf, we are well positioned to implement renewable energy projects professionally and quickly," Lukas Winkler, also Managing Director of EWS, is firmly convinced.

On behalf of the entire EWS team, we would like to thank IG-Windkraft for 30 years of commitment to the energy transition and wish them and all of us continued support!
