EWS nominated for Trigos Award 2023!

Austria's top projects for sustainable business and social responsibility are awarded.

EWS has been selected for Austria's most important award for sustainability and corporate responsibility with the Agri-PV concept EWS Sonnenfeld®. A total of 18 domestic companies and projects have been nominated for the TRIGOS 2023.

"The nomination is a great honour and recognition for the entire EWS team of currently 68 EWS employees in Munderfing (Upper Austria) and Parndorf (Bgld.)!  A lot of perseverance, even stubbornness, but also competence have been needed over the past 30 years to convince people to support renewable energy projects. The abundance of projects, the associated experience, the way we approach projects today and a team that works well and gladly on the future of the company and the planet - that is what makes EWS special," says Joachim Payr, managing partner of EWS. "We prove every day that we are as serious about our principles today as we were then. They are firmly anchored in our corporate philosophy and can be read in our sustainability report."

Smart with Agri-PV

EWS Managing Director Lukas Winkler: "With innovative solutions, we always strive to bring technology and nature into harmony in all our projects. Wind and solar energy projects can be implemented comparatively quickly and cost-effectively with minimal land consumption. With the EWS Sonnenfeld®, the component of agricultural land use is added and rounds off the resource-saving multiple use."

Generating energy and producing food on the same area at the same time - that is the credo of the EWS Sonnenfeld®. Particularly important is the optimised integration into the agricultural concept of the respective area, so that the absorption of both harvests from electricity generation and agricultural production functions in the best possible way. The potential for agri-PV systems in Austria is enormous: if every second municipality in Austria were to implement an EWS Sonnenfeld® of 10 ha in size, the solar electricity generated could cover 17% of Austria's total electricity consumption.

In the common fight against the climate crisis, the best solutions are needed. The Trigos Award brings those companies before the curtain that also have a holistic ecological commitment and social responsibility in mind. We are proud to count ourselves among them!
